2020 Board of Directors

 

The PRSA Rochester Chapter and its 2020 Nominating Committee for the Board of Directors (B.O.D.) announces its formal slate of candidates for potential incoming positions in 2020. In accordance with our bylaws, this slate will be available for 30 days, during which time others may also place themselves on this ballot, should they wish to run for any of the seats.

By December 2 or following, an electronic survey vote will be distributed to members for voting.

President-Elect: Melissa Greco Lopes (three-year term)

With more than a decade of experience in higher education public relations, Melissa Greco Lopes serves as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communication at St. John Fisher College. A long-time member of the Rochester Chapter of PRSA, she sits on the board as treasurer, has co-chaired the chapter’s Diversity Committee and helps to plan the PR Apprentice Program and Diversity Mixer. 

Treasurer: Rachel Laber Pulvino (three-year term)

Rachel Laber Pulvino is a Rochester native who has the privilege of promoting her hometown on a daily basis as the Director of Public Relations and Communications for Visit Rochester. In this role Rachel is regularly reaching out to regional, national and international media to share Rochester’s story, and help media and visitors alike discover the activities and attractions that make Rochester an ideal destination. Raised in Rochester, Rachel attended SUNY Geneseo, where she earned a B.A. in Communication, and continued on to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University for graduate school, where she earned an M.S. in Public Relations. Rachel is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, Rochester Chapter, volunteering on the programming, diversity and YP committees.

At-Large: Nadine General (three-year term)

As Vice President, Agency Non Profit Services at Dixon Schwabl Nadine General develops and executes comprehensive public relations campaigns for a variety of clients. She has an extensive crisis communications background, co-led the Development Support Services division, a unique service offering for non-profits to aide in increasing donations, donor acquisition, and brand awareness, and manage the agency's Community Giving Program. Nadine currently serves on the PRSA board and has been active in the Chapter for many years as co-chair of the diversity committee. 

At-Large: Sarah Warren (one-year term)

Sarah Warren is Public Relations Manager at Dixon Schwabl. She has served as the PRSA Rochester Young Professionals (YP) co-chair to spread the word about PRSA and the opportunities it offers to students and young professionals. In her role she has helped coordinate YP events, expanded PRSA's college reach, recruited new members and set up a traveling panel to visit various local colleges.
