Committees

We have many great committees that help run PRSA Rochester. If you're interested in getting more involved with our chapter, these committees are always looking for more volunteers!

Did you know: you can participate on a PRSA committee, even if you're not a member? 

• Programming: Responsible for organizing the chapter's workshops and educational sessions

• PRisms: In charge of planning the annual PRism awards program and ceremony.

• Diversity: Raises awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion within the public relations profession and on finding ways to increase diversity among PR practitioners. Also plans the annual "The Pitch" formerly known as the PR Apprentice Program for area college students.

• APR: Provides mentorship and guidance to those seeking to get their APR or take the next steps in their careers and long-term professional development.

• YP/PRSSA: Provides connection and collaboration for those early in their PR careers and welcomes the next generation through engagement with local  students.

• Membership: Works to grow and retain our chapter's membership through direct outreach, email campaigns and special events.

• Communications: Creates and publishes content on the chapter's social media, website and emails.

• Assembly/District: Join one of the conference committees - marketing, programming, sponsorships, or logistics - to help plan the 2023 PRSA Northeast District Conference.
