About the PRSA Northeast District

PRSA chapters throughout the US are grouped into districts. The Rochester chapter along with seven other chapters—WNY/Niagara, Finger Lakes, Central NY, Albany/Capital Region, Boston, Yankee (Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine), and Southeast New England—make up the Northeast district representing about 1,000 members.

A district board made up of chapter presidents, presidents elect and assembly delegates from each of the eight chapters meet each month. The district’s mission is to support the advancement of a diverse regional community of public relations and communications professionals by providing equitable access to PRSA networking and educational initiatives that underscore best practices.

A district professional development and networking conference is held each year. The chapters rotate hosting the conference.

The Northeast district offers volunteer opportunities for members looking to become involved at the district level particularly for the annual conference. Please contact the Rochester chapter assembly delegate or president if you’re interested.
