PRSA Rochester Hosts “PR Apprentice Program” for Area College Students October 2 & 3

On Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, the PRSA Rochester Chapter will host the PR Apprentice Program, an intense two-day workshop offering junior and senior college students the chance to gain real world experience.

Students compete in teams, agency-style, as they develop and present a public relations campaign for the local non-profit organization, Ibero American Action League, on a plan for its Lending Library, a program designed to promote the importance of literacy to parents of children enrolled at Ibero’s Early Childhood Center.

Area business and communications professionals will serve as “mentors” to the students on their ideas. Students will pitch their completed plans to a panel of judges – comprised of local industry leaders, influencers and representatives from the community and Ibero American Action League.
