PRSA Northeast District Conference Updates
PR Means Business—Registration now open for this year's PRSA Northeast District Conference
Registration is now open for this year's conference, hosted by our neighboring Finger Lakes chapter on Friday, April 28 in nearby Corning, NY. We expect more than 200 PR professionals from the region--from Bangor to Buffalo--to attend and enjoy hearing from engaging keynote speakers and the choice of a broad range of break out sessions. Register now to take advantage of early bird rates. This is a great opportunity and affordable way to re-energize, learn something new and meet and network with other PR professionals from throughout PRSA's Northeast District.
Sponsorship Opportunities
We are in the process of gathering sponsors for this exciting event. PR Means Business is an appropriate focus for the event and workshops are about how PR influences economic aspects of businesses and organizations. Could information about you, your organization and its services be a benefit for PR professionals? Sponsoring the conference overall, or one of its workshops during the day, could be a way to capitalize on this opportunity.
Our request is two-fold – we are looking for a few volunteers to help gather sponsors locally, and we are looking to our PRSA members to consider sponsoring portions of the conference. This may be an opportunity to showcase your company’s products and services to this group and have the exposure across several states in the Northeast…
From the conference organizers—
“Everything we do as Public Relations practitioners must directly support The Bottom Line. Our ideas, strategies, tactics, and measurement must all be tied directly to the business goals and the success of our organizations and our communities. We have seen a tremendous boom of economic development in the Finger Lakes region, throughout New York State, and across the Northeast District, and so much of our work as PR practitioners has supported these efforts, whether through tourism, cultural development or the success of the companies we work for.”
The sponsorship levels vary from a generous $500 level to $2,500. Each comes with benefits to you and your organization—from extra tickets and coverage via social media and print to introducing speakers and having a resource table throughout the conference.
There are more than 1,100 PR members in the region; the district has a social media following of more than 10K and more than 72,000 individuals visit the district’s website annually…opportunities that could serve you well.
Contact Michelle Cometa [email protected] or 585-475-4954, if interested in volunteering for the district’s sponsorship committee or if interested in acquiring the sponsor rate sheets and talking about ‘the possibilities.’
